The goal of deep loosening is to stimulate root growth by optimizing water and air permeability.
How does the lawn claw work?
The lawn claw is stabbed into the ground and before lifting out you pull the stem at an angle of approx. 5-15 ° to loosen the floor.
Between 60 - 100 holes per m² should be stung when deep loosening. Our lawn claw has 5 full spoons, so you would have to prick 12 - 20 x per m². We recommend the lawn claw for a lawn up to 200 m².
A subsequent sand is not necessary. No earth is removed by the full spoons, the holes are kept open so that water and air can get to the roots.
When should the deep loosening be carried out?
The measure is optimal for lawn care in winter. We recommend that the deep loosening only carry out if the lawn is no longer entered as often, because by lifting the floor with the breeze angle, the lawn should only root downwards, otherwise there will be bumps. November and December therefore make sense in most regions. It is usually not a snow yet and the subsequent frost breaks up the deeper layers again.
