Why we work with pre-orders

From spring onwards, our workshop is fully booked with ongoing production. There is no time for a new product line during the season. That is why we build the Consul over the winter.

To order materials in time and build exactly the machines that are needed, we have to know in advance which configurations are in demand: cutting width, reel and color. Every pre-order therefore determines what gets built in the workshop. This way, every machine reaches its owner on time for the start of the season.

On top of that, as a small workshop we need to be able to plan a new product line carefully. Pre-orders give us the certainty to buy the materials for exactly these machines in time and to schedule production firmly over the winter.

How your pre-order works

1. Order: You choose cutting width, reel and color and place your order in the shop. The order confirmation arrives by email right away.
2. Custom color: If you chose the "Custom RAL color" option, we will contact you by email to agree on the color.
3. Production: Over the winter we build the machines in our workshop in Bramsche, Germany. Painting is the last step, expected in January or February 2027.
4. Shipping notice: Before your Consul leaves the workshop, you will receive a shipping notice.
5. Delivery: Deliveries start in March 2027, in time for the start of the mowing season.

Payment

The payment methods available in your country are shown at checkout.

• PayPal and credit card: The buyer protection of the respective provider applies.
• Klarna (where available): The payment term starts with the order, not with delivery, so the amount is due long before the delivery date.
• Deposit by bank transfer: If you prefer not to pay the full amount upfront, you can pay a 50 percent deposit by bank transfer and settle the rest when we send the shipping notice. Just let us know at shop@rasenspecht.de that you would like to pay a deposit.

The pre-order discount applies to both full payment and deposit.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your pre-order free of charge at any time until delivery. A short email to shop@rasenspecht.de with your order number is all it takes. We refund any amounts already paid within 7 days using the original payment method.

After delivery, the statutory right of withdrawal applies where it is available to you (for example for consumers in the EU): 14 days from receipt. You will find the details in our refund policy.

Custom color: Painting in the color of your choice is made to your specifications. We paint in the last step, expected in January or February 2027. Until then, you can cancel orders with a custom color free of charge as well. We will let you know in good time before we start painting. Once painting has started, cancellation is no longer possible, and there is no right of withdrawal for custom colors after delivery.

What happens if delivery is delayed?

We will let you know early, with an honest reason and a realistic new schedule. Even then, you can cancel free of charge until delivery.

Can I change the cutting width, reel or color later?

Please check your selection carefully before ordering. We plan materials and production exactly according to your configuration. If you still want to change something, please get in touch.

How do I find out how production is progressing?

You will receive everything important about your order by email, and at the latest with the shipping notice you will know when your Consul is coming. We report on production progress over the winter in our newsletter. If you subscribe, you will always be up to date. You will find the sign-up field at the bottom of every page.
